Dasha Shiskin, Printmaker gives Artist Talk Wednesday, April 7th at 6:30PM at Purchase College SUNY

Moscow born, painter/printmaker, Dasha Shishkin who earned her MFA from Columbia, creates a world populated by bathers, servants, police, armless lovers, mutant animals and severed heads. Her images are part allegory, part macabre carnival and always captivating.

"If less is more, nothing is everything" 2001 acrylic and ink on canvas, 51 x 68.25in.

"Questions tempt you to tell lies" 2009, acrylic, ink and conte on canvas, 62.5 x 102in

"That only which is real and permanent is truly good" 2009, Acrylic, ink and conté on canvas 82.63 x 96 inches, 209.9 x 243.8 cm"
