Warhol at the Neuberger Museum of Art - 60s/70s Party at Purchase College, SUNY | by Ebony Brown)

With a Silent Auction and Junior Photo Show Reception happening in the Visual Arts Building on the same night, I managed to slide out of the School of Art+Design and slip into the Warhol 60s/70s party held at the Neuberger Museum of Art.

I could almost argue that some students had their very own fairy "Warhol" Godmother incubating in their closets; the costumes were incredible. Purchase College students immersed themselves in Warhol art, live music by Weird Korea, video projections and free food which was "totally delish" as noted by one of the students.

The Neuberger Museum of Art is one of the University's major assets. Students can roll out of bed and into a party-like time warp that arguably contextualizes the art on display and taught in the classroom. Warhol is a global icon; students, faculty and staff have access to art history in the 'flesh'.

Very nice pictures. The girl in the last one on the left, is she supposed to be dressed up as an asian woman from the 60/70's? What an overactive imagination....Jk. Great shots.

Ki Gen thanks for the compliment! Everyone had such a good time. An opportunity to dress-up and rock-out is always fun! I thought the Asian inspired look was creative and 'fab', not all can wear red lipstick as eloquently. I'm off to your blog at the moment.
