Pancake Madness Photos Spring 2009 (May 5, 2009 10PM-12AM) | Purchase College SUNY

Pancake Madness Spring'09 promises to deliver nothing short of fun this Cinco de Mayo! Only at Purchase College will you find a jammed-packed dining facility at 10 O'clock at night filled with faculty and staff volunteers serving obscene amounts of breakfast foods to half wake or utterly 'caffeinated' students seeking relief from their intense, final studies for the semester.

Pancakes, waffles, eggs, veggie bacon, sausages, freshly-made omlets, potatoes with onions and peppers, pomegranates, sweet mellons, muffins, cookies, strawberries, salad & fruit bars, juice boxes (the throw-back), ice-cream, coffee and more will fuel these young scholars and artists for the live DJ dance party that follows. All this on a Tuesday evening?!

Check out last semester's Pancake Madness (Fall 2008)

Purchase College Alumni miss Pancake Madness too! Here's what two of them shared on facebook:

"I could really use a Pancake Madness right about now. I guess plain madness will have to suffice."

"Man Baruch would be almost okay if they had a pancake madness..... I think that's the one thing about Purchase I really miss."

Arbor Day @ Purchase College SUNY

The Purchase College Beautification Committee as well as student and staff volunteers came together on Arbor Day, April 27th 2009 to 'pretty-up' Purchase. A tree planting ceremony in memory of Bill Salter was the highlight of the day. The tree is currently located near Starbucks and the tennis courts.

Las Brisas: One of the Best 'Cheap' Mexican Food Spots in Port Chester, NY | Purchase College SUNY

If you're looking for tasty, authentic Mexican food, 'on the cheap' near Purchase College SUNY, and you don't mind dining at a 'hole in the wall' type of place, check out Las Brisas located 15 minutes from Purchase College. (Las Brisas, 215 Westchester Ave., Port Chester, NY, 914-937-1462)

Its 'dry-erase' menu, dingy pink and gray tiling, foggy mirrors and beat up tables are not pretty but their food is great! If they bring you refried beans instead of black beans or vice versa, keep it, chances are that you'll like it anyway. To avoid this, know exactly what you want at the time that you order and try not to change it midway through ordering.

I usually get a Burrito (Burro) with chicken, black beans and rice with red sauce which I've circled in yellow on the menu photo below. Have you ever eaten there? Share your experience.

Pancake Madness Photos Dec '08!

As you may know, last semester's Pancake Madness with the Pillsbury Dough Boy and live DJ was a lot of fun. Faculty served pancakes with fruity toppings, eggs, sausages, waffles, bacon, potatoes, french toast, fresh fruits, muffins, ice cream, and more. Between 10PM and 12midnight all the delectable breakfast-goodness that the dining hall could possibly serve-up gave students a savory intermission from studying for finals last semester.
